Description
Château Petit-Village is a jewel set in the highest part of the magnificent terroir of the Pomerol plateau, on deep gravel and clay soils with a ferrous base in the heart of the appellation.
Significant replanting of the vineyard had occurred, with the long term aim of maximising quality. Short term this means that quantities of Château Petit-Village are lower than before, production of the Grand Vin coming only from the best old vine production
Tasting
On the occasion of the end of year celebrations, Château Petit-Village, a Pomerol grand cru, is highlighting the 2011 vintage. For its 10th anniversary, it is presented in a limited edition magnum box (about 100 copies), original and screen-printed, where the nature and aromas of the wine are omnipresent.
Château Petit-Village 2011 reveals a beautiful aromatic freshness with balsamic, smoky, raspberry and blackberry notes. The palate is soft, full and ample with a long finish with truffle notes.
Château Petit-Village 2011 is a perfect match for capon with chanterelle mushrooms, poularde with truffles and vegetables from the garden, and roasted scallops with truffles.
