Description
20 km north of Montpellier, on the border between Gard and Hérault, the Pic Saint Loup cru is the most northerly in Languedoc and one of the most prestigious. The Pic Saint Loup (658 m) and the Causse de l'Hortus (512 m) dominate a relief whose altitudes approach 150 meters.
The wines of Pic Saint Loup have a very marked identity. The soils, of clay-limestone scree origin, and a microclimate contribute to the specificity of our wines. The vineyard is subject to Mediterranean and continental influences; the thermal amplitudes are important, in particular in summer when the days are hot and the nights cool.
Tasting
The mouth is wide and spherical. It is creamier and more dynamic. Mineral bitters give relief and tension; together much more digestible.
Pairings : Tuna belly a la plancha with tian of Nice vegetables, seafood, a pan-fried squid, a cod fillet or Pélardons des Cévennes
