Description

An emblematic wine, closely linked to the gastronomy of Burgundy. Great chefs, such as Escoffier, and Brillat-Savarin (the famous cook-book writer), have praised these wines very highly.

Tasting

"Musigny is remarkable for its great purity of colour. The aromas are reminiscent of violet and fruit stone when the wine is young. After eight to ten years, these aromas become very refined and complex: fallen leaves, damp earth, moss and hints of fur or leather. The tasting sensations are incomparable in terms of finesse and harmony. The tannins are elegant, although very much alive. Silk and velvet match the liveliness of the acidity. The lingering aftertaste is dominated by hints of rare, exotic woods as well as candied cherry".

Vintage

The reds cover a wide qualitative range, some with more structure, others with less. They have a beautiful ruby colour, so typical of pinot noir. Their bouquet is expressive, clean and pure reminding one of little red berries, and already some notes of maturity. True These most enjoyable wines are expressing the qualities of both pinot noir and their Burgundian terroirs. They can be drunk.
