Paço de Palmeira
Royal Palmeira, Loureiro 2016
Portugal - vr

Cépage Loureiro
Sol breakdown of granite rock

Description

Straddling the rivers Cávado and Homem, near Braga, PAÇO DE PALMEIRA is one of the most magnificent architectural monuments in the Minho region.

Planned as residence intended for the leisure of Princes, Archbishops and the most illustrious aristocracy from Minho, the palace combines simple lines from its architecture with the refinement of its interiors, breathing the beauty of the surrounding landscape and the spirituality of retreats that become diluted in the traces of time.

PAÇO DE PALMEIRA has a history dating back to the XVII century when José de Bragança, Prince of the Royal House and Archbishop of Braga from 1741 to 1758, bought the property to install his Summer house. Thereafter, the property had several residents and owners that, throughout time, contributed for its refinement and splendour.

Tasting

Clear, greenish-yellow colour. Mild hints of tropical fruit like pineapple and lychee, with a touch citric, reveals us elegance and freshness in the mouth. The well-balanced acidity and tannins lend it a long finish.
