Description

Location: The appellation area is situated on the right bank of the Rhone River, between Orange and Avignon, in the village of Roquemaure, near TAVEL.

Soils : The property is located on a plateau covered with large rounded stones.

Climate : It is a Mediterranean one with particularly hot summers. The Mistral wind blows away any humidity, ensuring very good climatic conditions for the cultivation of vines.

Harvest: All grapes are hand picked, which enables to select the best grapes. This is a major point in the quality of our wines.

Winemaking & Ageing: Some juice is drained from red grapes tanks after few hours of skin contact and then fermented in concrete vats at low and constant temperature (14 to 16°C) during three weeks and a light fining. This wine does not go through malolactic fermentation to keep its natural acidity and freshness of the aromas. Bottling happens in April following the harvest after an aging on fine lees.

Tasting

In this appellation, they want to elaborate wines that can be appreciated 12 to 18 months after their harvest. These wines are elegant and fruity and able to get a good ageing thanks to an adapted structure.
