Pêra-Manca is the brand name that the Fundação Eugénio de Almeida gives to its exceptional wines.

It was first produced by the Fundação Eugénio de Almeida in 1990.

Tasting

Eye : a deep, dark red colour

Nose : The light perfume of blackcurrant and blackberry, framed by a smoky note, and the subtle sweetness of wood shape the bouquet.

Palate : Fine-grained tannin conceals the subsequent sharpness, and a dense dark cocoa taste develops. This is the dominant element until the long, strong finish.

Voluminous, powerful, overwhelming: Pêra-Manca Tinto is the flagship of Cartuxa, and unquestionably belongs to the elite of the Portuguese wine world.
