Description

The name comes from the Celtic village of "Cambola", famous for its vineyards, then cultivated by the monks in the Middle Ages. Joseph Drouhin owns several plots in this mosaic of soil. The soil: a complex limestone subsoil dating from the secondary era, with which Pinot Noir is in full affinity.

Tasting

"Fine lace and silk are the words most often associated with this wine. Bright, intense colour and complex aromas evoking violet, black cherry and damp earth. According to the vintages, there are also notes of truffle and game. Refined tannins coat the palate. Good balance between texture and acidity. Long aftertaste, with notes of cherry and candied fruit".

Tasting note by Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Vintage

The wines have more concentration but they are easy to taste. They all display deep colours. They are evolving nicely, increasing in complexity and elegance.
