Vinhas do Sabor 2021

In the Upper Douro, on the slopes of the Vale do Rio Sabor, the oldest plots of the estate are about 35 years old.

Planted with Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grapes, they face east, bathed by the morning sun and protected from the scorching late afternoon sun.

The vineyards of this historic valley are the source of Vale D.Maria Vinhas do Sabor red, a wine full of personality, which reflects the austerity of the Upper Douro in the density it presents and the finesse of the terroir through the delicacy of the fruit it is born from.

The nose is marked by exuberance, with a very present fruit. Very good concentration and freshness, which makes the wine come alive. Notes of wild fruits, aromas and a floral touch. Fresh and long finish.
