Heidi-Wii Blanc de Noir - Maienfelder 2019
Grisons - aoc
Grisons - aoc
Description
The region enjoys a very favourable climate thanks to its unique location in the Rhine valley and benefits from the warm south wind, the foehn. The wine-growing area amounts to about 420 hectares and is planted with about 80% of red grape varieties, of which pinot noir is the undisputed star of the vineyard.
Because of the excellent quality of its wines and its classic Burgundian grape varieties, the Bündner Herrschaft is praised as the Burgundy of Switzerland.
The red Pinot Noir grapes are pressed immediately after de-stemming and then pressed and matured like a white wine in stainless steel tanks. By filtering out the colour particles, this wine is as white as a white wine.
Tasting
A berry-fruity, fragrant, light and drinkable wine. Fresh and fine on the palate. Aromatic and soft with a subtle, seductive sweetness on the attack and refreshing fine acidity on the finish.
