The Mermouds have been growing vines for a long time, but it was in 1947 that Paul and Edouard decided, in a spirit of independence, to add value to the product of the vineyard by bottling and selling the first bottles.

Expanded little by little, the estate was revitalised with the arrival of Luc in 1976 and then his wife Liliane. The purchase of plots and the renting of others brought the surface area to 4.7 hectares. Damien returned to the estate in 2006 to continue the adventure. Since 2007, the great shift to organic viticulture has been undertaken.

The wine is made in the vineyard:
Starting from this conviction and in a spirit of quality, it is difficult to enlarge the estate without losing a form of authenticity and deviating from this philosophy. From then on, one reality became clear: less than 5 hectares to be able to take care of each vine stock as closely as possible to our convictions. No grand speeches, just hard work and humility to try to produce wines with character.
